  Groups and clubs are nothing more then an a shared area on this site that you can post to, create events for, and list members of. Groups can be private (invite only), or moderated (request for invite by member), or open to the public (anyone can join instantly). Anyone can create a group. It can be for your local area to organize meet-ups, or it could be for a shared theme or fan base, or it could even be just you and your friends.
CREATING A GROUP:To create your own group, click on CREATE CONTENT -> GROUP STUFF -> NEW GROUP Declare the title of the group, a short description, and then a longer Mission statement (what the group's goals are). Then choose the type of group (Open, Moderated, Invite Only, or Closed).
POSTING TO A GROUP:Now that you have created a group, you'll want to post a message to the group area so everyone can read and comment on it. To do that you click on CREATE CONTENT -> GROUP STUFF -> GROUP POST It is possible to post to SEVERAL GROUPS at once, but unlike you'll ever want to do that. So just select the one group at the bottom that you wish this post to be a part of. |
