As you may know, I am from Spain. Between sixth grade and my second college year, my English grades went from F to A+. The reason? I started playing D&D, and although the basic red box was translated (by then heroic publisher Dalmau) the rest of the game wasn't. That was 1989. Skip four years and I'm mastering a completely untranslated game set in my favorite fictional universe: Mayfair Games' DC Heroes (2nd Ed).- Read more... |

I had only heard about Dungeons and Dragons through whispers in back alleys and as glimpses of the world in forbidden rooms of friend’s older brothers. What was this strange game of painted figurines, hexagonal paper, and dice? Somehow, it all fit with the Frazetta posters, the ruggedly constructed foam and duct tape swords, and the Tolkien books and calendars.- Read more... |
