QAGS: The Quick Ass Game System

Produced by Hex Games out of Lexington, Kentucky - QAGS is an amazingly simple system based on an amazing premise: the Yum Yum system.  Hex Games says it best: "Most RPGs have experience points, but only QAGS lets you use Yum Yums--edible experience points--to improve your character and influence the game world."

The system is adaptable for many games, and Hex even provides some wonderful ones to test the waters of QAGS (personal favorites include M-Force: Monster Hunting in the 21st Century, Laser Ponies: An RPG for little boys and girls, and Funkadelic Frankenstein on the Mean Streets of Monstertown).

The premise is simple: you start the game with a set number of "Yum Yums" determined by the GM.  These initial YYs are spent to buy your three attributes (brain, body, and nerve), your job, your skills, and your Gimmick and Weakness.  From that point on, a GM may award YYs for anything from great roleplaying, buying food for the group, or a hilarious one-liner.  YYs are designed to be represented at the gaming table by candy - and players can even eat [and lose accordingly] their Yum Yums for no other reason than to stave off hunger.

A variant for adults is used with the Yum Yums represented by beer, but that variant is not endorsed by most healthcare professionals.

The pdf is basically a steal at it's low price, so pick it up today!
