This book is excellent, a complete setting for either a game set on Neiyat Island or as a side storyline where players are stranded on this island. The game has 5 PC races, including the matrilinear Neiyar who are devotees of the threefold goddess Sophia, the Krakodons who claim descent from Dragons and the Auronne, innocent bird-like creatures. The greatest population is the Neiyar who treat men as an inferior race and not allow them to take up anything which will encourage their natural tendencies towards violence and instead have skilled wizardesses and clerics who are all women. The Krakodon object and have faced war with the women of Neiyar and the demon threat this island always faces. there is also a frog-like culture and they are the real troublemakers and there are great rules for outsides who are not from Neiyar whom are stuck on the island by storm and problem. There is also a cat-like race which does nto understand property and creates packs and have a cat-lke curisousity about everything.

THis game also imncludes 15 new feats for the d20 system and great sorcery sections on hearth and Devi (clerical) magic. This book is female dominant but makes it fun to run a PC male who are encouraged to create scientific advances and be acolytes to wizardesses and can become rabblerousers. The game is sexist but encourages players to do battle against the sexism of the setting. The book is well-written and well-presented as well with nice illustrations and several divinities to follow. It has an excellent index and is all that and a bag of nacho chips. It is an innovative and unique fatasy culture and would be a great game setting as one must band together with other species and races to fight off the great demon threat.

I definitely would want to play a d20 game in this setting.
