COUNCIL OF WYRMS

HELLO OUT THERE, fellow gamers. I'm currently reading over my recently acpuried ADnD 2 ed. Boxed set of the Council of Wyrms campaign setting, and I must say I'm in love.

I'm a gamer of about 16 years, give or take. My older brother who has been playing paper and dice games since the late 70s introduced me to them via Battletech. From the first time I hopped into the cockpit of a PXH-1 Phoenix Hawk, I was hooked on the paper and dice format.

My brother also has the Council of Wyrms set, and I can remember looking through it as a child and being fascinated by the prospect of playing as a dragon character. The majesty, the power, the grace. Now, I have come full circle and am going to be running my own CoW game, though I'm not versed well enough in Second Edition to use the box set as it was originally intended, I'll be using my own conversion of it to 3.5 which I have already worked out.

Still in preliminary stages of overall story development and such. Initially, there shouldn't be too much of a problem with challenges for the wyrmling dragons, my concern is coming up with balanced challenges for a group of five or six mid-life dragons, and how to affect changes in the enviornment and geography that will occur during dragonsleep.

I'm VERY committed to trying to keep maximum suspension of disbelief. If there are any Council of Wyrms Veterans out there that would have any reccomendations for how to proceed once the little ones begin their aging cycles, I would GREATLY appreciate some pointers.
