What are your favorite and/or most useful books on the craft of writing? A few of mine: 45 Master Characters by Victoria Schmidt On Writing Horror by the HWA Screenplay by Syd Field Elements of Expression by Arthur Plotnik On Writing by Stephen King Not only do these come in handy for actually writing horror and dark fantasy fiction, but I've found each of them useful as a GM when I'm writing up a new adventure or doing some world-building. I've just started reading
I've just started reading Description and Setting from the Write Great Fiction Series and am enjoying it so far. From what I've read, the rest of the books in the series are pretty good too (based upon the Amazon reviews).
