There are two files being submitted for your consumption.
The first is the edited story only version. All of the table talk has been trimmed out and music has been added at the front and back of the track. This only contains the story told with Hell 4 Leather.
The second is the raw, uncut, unedited, version. Everything was left in, pauses, stammers, and even a couple contradictions. This file contains everything we said while playing Hell 4 Leather.

There is some information that was determined prior to play. This game was used as a prelude to a full campaign and as such some ground work was laid before hand. More details can be found on the Obsidian Portal page. After the break is the basic information the players were told prior to play.

Pitch Notes

  • Concept: A biker gang operating on the edge of society, protecting the little they have and trying the best they can to survive.
  • Setting: A Post-Post-Apocalyptic Wastelands\Desert. New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada feeling. Vast city-states. Tiered Society: The Utopian Cities, The Surrounding Slums, The Power Communes, and The Wassters
  • Theme: Punk Rock; Lower Tiers = Sticking it to the High Tiers, Mid-Tiers = Making the best of things, High Tiers = Selling out but maintaining image.
  • Mood: Angry and Fighting Back, Rebirth and Change, Stereotypes exist for a reason, Ouroboros.
  • Aspects: Rebuilding what was lost, growing an organization, acquiring means for survival, bringing the fight to the enemy, taking control, reigning supreme, being the big dogs.
  • Religion: Most believe that God is dead, killed in the War. There have been no major organized religions in thousands of years. There are still hundreds of faiths and small assemblies, but they tend to be more communal than spiritual.
  • Cultism: The exception to the lack of Religion is the growth of the Cult. There are hundreds of groups that worship dark nameless gods of death, destruction, and domination. Cults are most common out in the Wastes but are a very real problem for Utopians.
  • Supernatural: Unknown, unaccounted for, undocumented, uninvolved.
  • Technology: Varies wildly. In the lower tiers it’s mostly mechanical, computers are rarities. Tumbler locks, crank engines, clockwork contraptions. Almost a Victorian-era or steam-punk feel. In the higher tiers they have cutting edge tech, nano-technology, cyberpunk level computer systems.
  • Vehicles: Powered mostly by heat or kinetic energy. Engines are designed to use the by-product energy their produce but it’s not a perfect cycle. Still require re-fueling on a regular basis. In the Power Communes motorcycles are a common means of transportation due to their minor energy draw.
  • Weapons: Without the oils required to maintain a firearm the most common weapons have become swords and bows again. This isn’t to say there aren’t guns, their just a rarity now. After finding a gun you still have to find bullets, which haven’t been mass-produced in thousands of years.
Basic Questions

What’s the gang’s name?: The Edge Runners
What is the name of the Commune that the gang protects?: Diamondhead
